To check it undo the fuel line to the fuel filter. It is some where on the drivers side under the car. If you can not find it take it off the fuel rail. Turn on the key see if you get fuel. If not look under the hood there is two boxes one has fuses the other has blocks which or relays. Take the fuel relay out and take the a/c relay and put it in. This will tell you if the relay is out. You also have turn the key on here as well after swapping the relays. Now if it still does not come on then it is the pump. I do not know if there is a spot in the trunk to get to it or not. If not then you have to drop the tank. Be careful doing so because if you drop it to fast you will break the wires on the top. go slow undo the wires and drop the rest of the way.

First, please just try and see if you can hear it, though that sounds like two different senses, in the human body I mean - sight & sound. If you can hear it, it probably works. Really, they usually work from experience, if making a sound when you turn the key on. You would need specialized tools to check pressure, and they are under semi-dangerous pressure to begin with, until the fuel injectors are bled. So did the owner back into something or get hit from behind, causing the pump to turn off and require resetting? I don't know the history of this case.
